ISA Certified Arborist

Certified by the International Society of Arboriculture, recipients of this certification are required to pass a written test after being in the arboriculture field for a minimum of three years. Certified Arborist are required to adhere to the ISA Certified Arborist Code of Ethics. It is always recommended that a professional Certified Arborist provide recommend trees care within communities to help preserve trees for today and future generations.

 

Qualified Applicators License

Qualification that is acquired through the California Departments of Pesticide Regulations (DPR). The Qualified Applicators License is obtained by an exam that requires comprehensive knowledge of laws and regulations, both state and federal, pertaining to the use of regulated pesticides. The use or misuse of pesticides can be a detriment to the urban forest, therefore it is pertinent that a qualified professional be used in these cases.

 
 
 

Certified Treecare Safety Professional

TCIA’s Certified Treecare Safety Professional (CTSP) program is the only safety credentialing program in the industry and is designed to address several of the safety challenges that tree care companies face. A CTSP does more than simply educate a team in safe work practices. As a safety “coach,” a CTSP works to develop and nurture a safe work environment in key areas of Leadership, Hazard identification, Incident control and prevention.

Tree Risk Assessment Qualification

The ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (ISA TRAQ) is a voluntary qualification program designed to train and assess candidates in a specialized field of arboriculture. To earn the qualification, eligible candidates must complete a training course, and pass both a comprehensive written assessment and a performance-based assessment. To maintain the qualification, current credential holders must retrain and retest every five years.

 
 
 

Tree and Plant Appraisal Qualification

Tree and Plant Appraisal Qualifications certificate program is an interactive training method teaching the approaches, methods, and techniques of plant appraisal.

 

ISA Certified Tree Worker

This certification is for tree workers who specialize in climbing work. To become certified as an ISA Tree Worker Climber Specialist, you must have the skill and endurance to climb trees, demonstrate strong knowledge of safe work practices, and be able to get the job done off the ground. For this credential, you will be tested in both a classroom setting and a field setting.
